Lone Pine softball
continues victory rally over Desert Christian
The Lone Pine High School Lady Eagles are on a tear. Lone Pine is now 3-0 overall for the season and have been putting up some ridiculous numbers. In the three games they have had so far, they have scored 37 runs.
Tuesday’s game against the Desert Christian Knights was no exception. Lone Pine ended up taking the win by the score of 12-5. Madison Reiser started the game on the mound and threw three innings, giving up just one run and picking up seven more strikeouts for the season. Reiser even threw an immaculate inning, striking out three batters with nine pitches. Yarelin Lopez threw the rest of the game and she kept the Lady Eagles in the lead, holding off the Knights for 4 innings. Juanita Joseph led the charge at the plate with three hits and three RBIs. Brisa Gutierrez and Mia Quezada laid down two bunts in a row to get the offence going as well. Another notable performance came from Betzy Alvarado. Alvarado did not let a bee sting in the fourth inning stop her from having an incredible game at second base.
