The Bishop Union High School Broncos got back on the winning track Friday against rival Kern Valley.

The final score was 54-0.

Coach Arnie Paul reported that leading 18-0 at the half, the Broncos had a strong second half in route to a 54-0 win over rival Kern Valley. The defense held Kern Valley scoreless thanks in part to seven quarterback sacks. Reese Dondero had a pair of sacks with teammates Kennedy Batchelder, Colt Matteson, Cain Omohundro, Michael Boothe, and Uriah Benally also recording sacks. Andrew Steedle had an interception helping to insure the shutout.

Senior quarterback Jakob Redmond had a strong night completing 15 of 20 passes for 322 yards and five touchdowns. Walker Rost Kruger had a big night receiving with six catches for 161 yards and a touchdown. Jake Frigerio caught three passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Zack Mojarro went more than 1,000 yards on the season with 94 yards on nine carries and two touchdowns. Cain Omohundro and Aiden Arndal also caught touchdown passes. Next up for the Broncos is a homecoming match up with Rosamond.
