Members of the Bishop Union High School track and field traveled to McFarland High School to compete in the Gary Adams Invitational on Friday, April 8, with local competitors  setting many personal bests and won one race.

Sophomore Ashley Fitt placed third and medaled in the 800 meters in a time of 2:36.81, placed fifth in the 1600 meters in a time of 5:54.57, and placed fourth in the 3200 meters in a personal record time of 12:38.53.

Senior Diego Honda won the 3200 meters in a time of 10:03.08, and placed third in the 1600 meters in a time of 4:41.04.

Sophomore Alexander Adkins placed third in both the F/S 800 and 1600 meters setting a personal record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:13.82. His time in the 1600 meters was 4:57.82

Freshman Denzel Gomez ran both the F/S 800 and 1600 meters setting a personal record in the 800 meters in a time of 2:16.38. His time in the 1600 meters was 5:10.93

Senior Braeden McGrale set personal records in both the shot put with a distance of 40 feet, 5 inches and the discus throw with a distance of 94 feet, 10 inches.

Freshman Anwyn Benson set personal records in both the 400 meters and 200 meters with times of 71.34 and 33.37

Sophomore Joe Almeida jumped in both the triple jump and long jump, achieving distances of 16 feet, 4 inches in the long jump and 33 feet, 8 inches in the triple jump.
