The Bishop Union High School Broncos baseball and softball teams continued their respective winning streaks Friday after both teams soundly defeated the Frazier Mountain Falcons during away games.
Baseball
Junior Albert Cano was clutch at the plate with ducks on the pond on Friday, driving in four on two hits to lead Bishop past Frazier Mountain, 22-3.
Cano drove in runs on a double in the second, a double in the fourth, and a sacrifice fly in the fifth.
The Broncos got on the board in the first inning, scoring one run when junior Reese Dondero doubled.
Bishop tallied six runs in the fifth inning.
The offensive firepower of the Broncos was led by senior Jake Frigerio, sophomore Jamisen Wolfe, Cano, senior Kennedy Batchelder and sophomore Bodie Garcia, who all drove in runs.
Junior Riley Eropkin toed the rubber for the Broncos, lasting one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while walking one. Sophomore Noah Cathey threw two innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run and striking out 7. Garcia closed with a timely strike out.
The Broncos collected 22 hits on the day with Garcia, Frigerio, Eropkin, Dondero, Cano, and Batchelder all collecting multiple hits.  Frigerio and Garcia each collected four hits to lead Bishop. The Broncos stole eight bases during the game, including Frigerio led the way with three.
The Broncos didn’t commit a single error in the field. Junior Jonithen Thomson had six chances in the field, the most on the team.

The Bishop Lady Broncos clipped the Falcons’ wings on Friday, 17-3 in 5 innings.
Sophomore Baileigh Momberg started, throwing 3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits, 3 walks and 7 strikeouts.
Senior Geneva Molina came in and threw 2 innings with no runs on no hits, no walks and 4 strikeouts.

The Lady Broncos had two injuries during the game and the team was unable to continue in the game. Senior Leilani Torres was hit by pitch in the first inning and Weaver injured her ankle in a slide at home.
The Lady Broncos are 8-4 overall and 7-1 in High Desert League play.
