County adult ed program focuses on employability and more

The Cerro Coso Community College/Inyo County Office of Education Job Spot opened in March of this year to assist adults enhance their employability and basic skills. It is part of the Inyo County Office of Education’s Adult Education Program, which started in January 2020.

The Adult Education Center and Job Spot, an adult education center established through a partnership between the Inyo County Office of Education and Cerro Coso Community College, continues to provide services aimed at assisting adults in obtaining skills to better themselves.

Molly Trauscht, an adult education teacher with the ICOE, gave the Bishop City Council an update this week on the center, dubbed The Job Spot, which is located on Main Street in Bishop.

The Job Spot recently completed its first full operating academic year, Trauscht said.
