Bishop Police Chief Richard Standridge holds up a stack of 42 reports stemming from graffiti and vandalism at the Bishop City Park taken from the beginning of the year. City staff estimates that the issue is costing the city thousands of dollars in staff time alone.

With ongoing vandalism and graffiti taking place throughout Bishop, especially at the Bishop City Park, city officials say they plan on taking measures to curb these incidents that are costing thousands of dollars to repair.

Bishop Police Chief Richard Standridge said Monday that the city has conducted surveillance, both video and personnel, “but it’s just not stopping.”
