Laws Museum and Historic Site board member and volunteer Carola Gregorich, showed visitors how the Pelton Wheel works. The device, invented by Lester A. Pelton, is a type of high-efficient hydro turbine he developed in the 1870s that revolutionized power generation during the California Gold Rush.
