A beta and seed swap, along with a local plant sale, are some of the highlights of Eastern Sierra Land Trust’s upcoming GardenFest, an event geared toward both novice and green-thumb growers.
ESLT will help residents kick off the growing season from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at its office garden at 176 Home St., Bishop.
Attendees are invited to ask for advice from Master Gardeners, trade heirlooms in the seed swap, purchase plants from local nurseries and organizations, and much more.
Those in attendance can also learn more about ESLT’s latest launch – the Eastside Pollinator Garden Project – and sign up to have their gardens certified as pollinator-friendly habitat.
GardenFest is offered free to the public and ESLT promises activities for youth as well.
