Debra Lea O’Neal
Debra Lea O’Neal, 59, passed away March 8, 2014 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Furstenfeldbruck, Germany on Dec. 20, 1954. She graduated from Simi Valley High School and after graduating she headed the Corporate Suggestion Program at Home Savings. She moved to Bishop with her husband Steve in 1991, where they raised their family.
Debra always had an eye for beauty, aesthetics and attention to detail whether decorating her home or helping her friends with theirs. Her talent was evident with the activities she helped plan for church and school or the great birthday parties for her children. Her creativity was greatly appreciated and will be remembered for years to come.
She loved the outdoors and reveled in hiking, skiing and was an accomplished horseback rider. She relished long strenuous walks in the desert and could easily leave you in the dust. Debra never turned down a good piece of chocolate, especially See’s chocolate buttercream.
Debra is survived by her loving husband, Steve Fuller; her children, Cameron and Mandy; her father, Larry O’Neal; and siblings, Laurie, Mark, Mike, Shealeen and Jodi; along with her in-laws, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Debra is preceded in death by her mother, Marceline Holt.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at Oasis of Grace Foursquare Church, Bishop.
