Mule Days is reaching out to the younger generations this year by introducing a number of new events exclusively for residents and visitors in the under-25 age group.
According to organizers, those who are working behind the scenes to make Mule Days happen have been involved for a number of years – some since the beginning in 1969 – and fresh blood and fresh ideas have been harder to come by.
The solution? Mule Days organizers have revamped the event’s offerings for youth, anyone from college age on down. Organizers are also planning to kick off three new programs this year that are designed to teach a new generation about packing, mules and the Eastern Sierra’s Mule Days tradition.
