Rosalie Ammerman, 81, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and artist, went to be with Our Lord, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 peacefully at her home in Lake Elsinore with her children and family at her side.
Born Feb. 9, 1932, Rosalie was the daughter of Calvin and Enid Ammerman of Dana, Indiana, third of four children. She was outgoing and loved by anyone she met. Graduating from Dana High School in 1950 she went on to attend Indiana State Teachers College, now Indiana State University, studying Theater Arts. She was a member of the Terre Haute Community Theater.
Rosalie was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Jerusalem Chapter 254 Clinton, Ind. and more recently, a member of the Palleteers Art Group, Lake Elsinore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her eldest sister, Bonnie Lou Knowles; and brother, Rollin Ammerman.
Survivors include former husband, Joseph Benti of Camarillo, Calif., sister, Betty Hines of Brownsburg, Ind.; daughters, Wynne Benti of Bishop and Breann Benti of Los Angeles; son, Edmund Bentivengo of Lake Elsinore; grandson, Justin Benti of North Hollywood; and numerous nieces and nephews including Carrie Schmutte of Brownsburg, Ind., David Ammerman of Euless, Texas, Julie Williams of Flagstaff, Ariz., George Spear of Westwood and Myrna Kerns of Villa Grove, Ill.
