Doran Trullinger, 55, lost his battle to cancer on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 in his home in Huntington Beach. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Doran was born May 12, 1956, to Donald and Dorothy Trullinger in Hawthorne. He graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1975, and was a proud employee at Northrup Grumman as a welding supervisor.
On Aug. 2, 1992, Doran married Patty Kussner in Mammoth. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, bicycling at the beach, motorcycles, mechanics, as well as many other outdoor activities. Doran was a very strong, caring, loving person who meant the world to his daughters, friends and family.
Survivors include his two daughters, Rachel and Sarah; son-in-law, Eryk; former wife, Patty; sister, Donna; two brothers, Steve and Rick; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A time of gathering was held on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Doran’s home in Huntington Beach. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, Oct. 27 next to his parents, Don and Dorothy, and brother, Ron, at the Big Pine Cemetery in Big Pine.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. Freda Lindsay of the Church of Religious Science will be officiating.
He always gave us all such courage and hope, and reminded us of the preciousness of life. We will all miss his dearly.
