Elinor C. Macauley
Born July 19, 1928, Elinor C. Macauley passed away Sept. 23, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Carson City, Nev.
Born in Bellingham, Wash. to Fred and Hilda Pattee, she moved to Hawthorn, Calif. to attend college and worked for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power where she met and married Charles M. Macauley in 1956. In 1961 Charles transferred to Independence and then to Bishop in 1976.
Elinor liked being with her family in the outdoors, taking rides, hiking and shooting. She spent 50 years in the Owens Valley. Elinor was a quiet, nice and easy going person who will be dearly missed.
Elinor was preceded in in death by her husband, and a son, John Macauley.
She is survived by her son, James Macauley; daughter, Linda Macauley; brother and wife, Don and Kathy Pattee; nephews, Phil and Dan Pattee; adored grandchildren, Daniel Macauley, Rene Macauley and Jonathan Macauley.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29 at her home, 3089 Indian Creek Dr. in Bishop.
