Timothy Branson, a resident of Lone Pine for all of his life, passed away Aug. 31, 2012 at Southern Inyo Hospital in Lone Pine. He was 61 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Branson of Lone Pine; and his brother, Bruce Branson of Lone Pine. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Dorothy Branson; nephews, Benjamin Branson and Anna Realdson of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Matthew and Robin Branson of Elkhart, Ind. and niece, Elizabeth Branson of Lone Pine; one great-nephew, Antonio Martinez; and three great-nieces, Gabriella Martinez, Brooklyn Branson, and Morgan Branson.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Donald Branson.
Tim graduated with honors from Lone Pine High School in 1969. He became an eagle scout and was quite involved in scouting activities for a number of years in his youth. He was a photographer and enjoyed playing basketball and was a good golfer.
Tim served in the Navy from 1970-75 and served on the USS Racine which was in Vietnam during the war. He was a licensed radio operator and was quite proud of his time in the service. Most of his working career was in electronics and he worked for cable television companies.
Private graveside services are being held in Southern California.
