Jean Rossi Williams Orr
Jean, age 76, was born in Santa Ana on April 22, 1936 to Bill and Ruth Harlis, and passed away late Friday night, Aug. 31 2012, at her home in Highland, surrounded by loving family members.
She lived in Orange County until the family moved to Big Pine in 1951, where she attended Big Pine High School and graduated in 1954. In 1954 she married Duane Rossi and together they had three children, Danny, Toni and April. When the children were small she and her children moved back to Orange County.
Jean enjoyed life. She loved to travel, to set a nice table and entertain anyone that stopped by. She had a talent and passion for sewing and hand work, creating all kinds of pretty things to wear and nice warm comforters.
Surviving family includes her husband, Floyd Orr; son Danny’s widow, Maurene, their daughter, Angie and her husband, Nate and their childrenTyson, Jacob, Trent, Eli and Sophie; son, Whitney Rossi; daughter, Toni and her husband Duane Jones, their son, Jake and their daughter, Katy, and granddaughter, Amelia; daughter, April and her husband, Richard
McCormick, their sons, Justin and Waico and their grandson, Gunnar; her stepchildren, Kistie and her daughters, Lisa and Laura; barry and his wife Terry, and his son David and daughter, Rachel; Connie and her daughters, Amy and Sarah and their families; her brother, Jim Harlis and his wife Laura; Jeff Harlis and his wife, Mary; and Joy Fansler and their families and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ruth Harlis; husband, Keith Williams; and her beloved son, Danny Rossi.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7 at Montecito Cemetery in Redlands.
