Georgia Gay Duncan (Harris)
Gay passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on July 14, 2012 at her home in Las Vegas, Nev. at the age of 67. Gay was born on Sept. 28, 1944 and was raised in San Diego by her parents, Ray W. and Fern S. Harris.
Gay attended Helix High School where she graduated with honors. She attended University of California Santa Barbara and Grossmont College, earning a degree in accounting from National University. Gay lived in Bishop, Lakeside, Mont. and Las Vegas, Nev.
She leaves behind her husband and soulmate, Dwayne Duncan; her mother, Fern S. Harris; sons, John and Chris (Terri) Hickok; daughter. Dorina (Ashli) Perry-Barr; her sister, Susie Harris Cartwright; grandchildren, Heidi, John and Hannah Hickok, Connor Hickok, Ayla and Grayson Perry-Barr; along with her nephew and niece, Brandon and Hawley Cartwright; aunt, Lois Fisher of Las Vegas; and uncle, Roy Stillings of Oceanside; along with many cousins throughout the USA.
Gay will always be remembered for her love of books, shopping, home decorating and of course, her famous buttermilk pancakes.
Gay was preceded in death by her dad, Ray W. Harris; and husbands, John Hickok, Joe Perry and Chuck Seidel.
A private family remembrance will be held at a later date in San Diego and June Lake.
