Daniel Wayne Miller
Daniel Wayne Miller was born on Dec. 15, 1952 in Muncie, Ind. Dan passed away quietly at the age of 59 on June 27, 2012 at his home in Bishop. Dan went to school in Indiana and resided in Indianapolis and nearby communities for a large portion of his life. He served in the Navy twice, both times were in the Vietnam War.
Dan owned businesses and worked many different trades in his lifetime, such as drilling for oil and Asbestos removal/insulator.
Dan and his wife Brenda attended school to manage motels in 2003 shortly after moving to California. Motel management landed them in the Eastern Sierra where they lived happily until 2010 when Dan’s wife passed.
Since her passing, Dan has fished with Rudy and spent time with friends enjoying life, and now has been called to his everlasting home to be with the love of his life.
Dan is survived by his three sons, David Kirkhart, Dustin Childress, Adam Childress and his wife Marcy; as well as six grandchildren. He also was survived by his younger brother, Randy Dean Miller; older sister, Constance Jean Miller; and many good friends, including John, Silver, Denny Snow and his beloved dog Rudy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Jean Miller; and parents, Wayne Lee Miller and Norma Jean Miller.
No funeral services have been planned at this time.
