Irene M. Molloy
Irene M. Molloy, age 84, resident of Mammoth Lakes for 10 years, born in Iowa on Dec. 31, 1927, passed away on July 7, 2012 in Bishop.
Irene graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1951 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She received her Master’s Degree from Cal State Los Angeles in 1972 and was a tenured Professor at Cal State Los Angeles.
Irene married John Madison Molloy on June 12, 1954. Irene was dedicated to her nursing profession and retired to Mammoth Lakes in 2002. She was an active and loved volunteer board member at the Mammoth Hospital Auxiliary, served on St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Finance Committee, and the Chateau Sans Nom Board. Irene was a dedicated wife of 51 years, loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Moira Molloy Seaman of San Clemente; sons, John Stephen Molloy of Redmond, Ore., and Brian Lawrence Molloy of Perth, Western Australia; seven grandchildren; brothers, Merlyn Miller of Iowa, Wayne Miller of Iowa and Robert Miller of Arizona.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. July 16 at St. Edwards the Confessor Catholic Church, 33866 Calle La Primavera, Dana Point, CA 92629, Reverend Mario Juarez officiating.
A memorial service will be held at 8 a.m. Aug. 24 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 58 Ranch Road, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546.
Interment will be in Dana Point.
