Dolores Barbara Haney
Dolores Barbara Haney, known to her friends as “Dee” was born March 1, 1929 to Frank and Beatrice Gagliano in Los Angeles and had one younger brother, Frankie. Their mother died when she was 3 and he was 1.
Dolores attended Catholic schools. She later worked at the Dolly Madison Bakeries where she met and married Frank Winans. They had two daughters, Geri and Carol. She divorced at 32 and went on to waitress for many years, sold Kirby vacuums and became top salesperson in her area. She owned and operated El Dorado Maintenance in Temple City where she met Norm Smith. They had twins, David and Devin.
At age 39 she met and married Morgan Haney. They were married for many years living in North Hollywood and moving to Bishop in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Frankie; father, mother and husband.
She is survived by two daughters, Geri Wilson and Carol Lane and her husband, Chuck; two sons, Devin Jackson and David Jackson and his wife, Lora; sister-in-law, Donna Gagliano; grandchildren, Julie Dunlap and her husband, Aaron, David Wilson and his wife, Diane, Danny Wilson, Wesley Lane and his wife, Erin, Cambria Lane, Courtney, Riis and Olivia Jackson; great grandchildren, Blake, Casey, Ian, Jared, Seth, Brenna, Jake, Christina, Katherine, Joshua and Isaac.
Dee passed away on Feb. 12 and will be dearly missed by the many friends she made in the Owens Valley and especially her family.
There will be a brief graveside service at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Big Pine Cemetery. There will be a memorial service and luncheon at noon on Saturday, at the Nazarene Church in Bishop.
