
Bronco ski racers Nick Schley and Robert Toy traded wins and crash-and-burns in the third race series at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, Friday, Feb. 3.
Laura Stickells was the top Bronco in the women’s division with third- and second- place wins for the day.
Schley came through for a win in the morning two-run series with a combined time of 45.74.
Toy’s combined time of 52.94 in the afternoon runs rated the number one spot.
Other solid performances in the men’s division were David Tanksley with a third place finish in the morning series; Max Piercey with a fifth and a third finish; and Evan Richman, sixth and fifth. Alejandro Sanchez, Owen Richman, Collin Batchelder, Liam Means and Cole Means formed a solid Bishop block in the middle of the rankings.
In the women’s division, Kristen Kubiak finished with a sixth and a fourth; Dana Grevenkamp, seventh and sixth; Nichole Villaneueva, eighth and seventh; Piper Wright, ninth and 10th; Katie Tanksley, 10th and ninth; Bronwyn Stephenson, 11th and eighth; Tessa Wright, 12th and 11th; Hannah Neer, 13th in both series; and Kirsten Underwood, 15th and 16th.
