James Music was born March 28, 1953 in Aransas Pass, Texas and passed on Aug. 14, 2011 in Prescott, Ariz.
He was the son of the late Wanda Vickery of Benton, Calif. and the late G.B. Music, Jr. who rests in Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Music, and sons, Carlos and Ramiro Music, of San Antonio, Texas; life companion, Patty Music of South America, son, Daniel Music and his wife, of Flagstaff, Ariz.; dear friend, Mary Jane Fimbres of Blythe, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Mary Music of Benton; sister, Debbie Rhodes of Tonopah, Nev.; grandchildren, Connie and Ramiro, Jr. of San Antonio; one nephew, Mike Music of Fairbanks, Alaska; and two nieces, Lisa Wagner of Bishop and Amanda McDonald of Concrete, Wash.
James went to grade school first in Waco, Texas, then Bakersfield, Calif., then in the Owens Valley in Round Valley, then in Benton and then attended high school in Bishop, graduating with the Class of 1971. James moved to Texas where he started a family before moving back West to California and Nevada and then Arizona.
He was a longtime member of Sons of the American Legion Post 79 in Yarnell, Ariz. He loved making friends and listening to music. He will be missed by all of us.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 at White Mountain Bible Chapel in Benton. The service will be followed by a potluck. For more information, call Tom at (760) 933-2215.
