Robert ‘Bob’ Eugene Ocamb

No funeral services have been announced for Robert “Bob” Eugene Ocamb.
Born Sept. 26, 1936 in Kansas City, Kansas, Bob died Oct. 30, 2010 in Gardnerville, Nev.  He was 74.
Bob spent his early years until his teens in Kansas City before relocating with his family to Phoenix, Ariz. where he attended Phoenix Union High School. After High School he entered the U.S. Navy in 1956 and served aboard the U.S.S. Philippine Sea, CVA 47.  
After the service Bob found his passion in driving truck up and down the Owens Valley and the Reno/Tahoe area until retiring a couple of years ago.
Bob lived in the Minden- Gardnerville area for the past 24 years with his wife, Marjorie Devine Ocamb.
He enjoyed the outdoors, loved driving truck, was an avid fisherman, a champion trap shooter and had a terrific sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Devine Ocamb of Gardnerville; brother, David L. Ocamb of Glendale, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Galvin of Big Pine; stepsons, Floyd, Todd and Albert Yant; and grandchildren, Cory, Chelsea and Kelsea Galvin.
