XC on way to CIF Prelims

November 11, 2010

BUHS Girls cross country.

The Bishop girls cross country team took second place at High Desert League finals at California City, advancing to CIF Prelim-inaries at Mt. SAC, Nov. 13.
The boys team finished fourth, just six points behind Kern.
“To have the girls advance to CIF Prelims is a well-deserved honor,” said coach Jeff Perry.
“Our boys gained a sizeable victory over Desert,” said Perry, “and ran very respectable times, but our competition was simply faster this year.
“Outstanding performances by Dana Grevenkamp for the girls, Chris Schmidt, Nick Schley, and JV runner Arden Wagner highlighted the day,” said Perry.
The girls now face nearly two weeks of training to maintain their conditioning and put in their best times at Mt. SAC.
