Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the West Line Street Cemetery for Polly Leah Brown Cox.
Born in her home in Round Valley on July 14, 1936, Polly died Oct. 1, 2010 in Bishop. She was 74. Polly attended school in Bishop, graduating from Bishop Union High School.
She was married to Milton Cox for almost 50 years until his death in 2009.
Polly was a homemaker much of her life. She and her husband raised their boys at Sweetwater Ranch near Smith Valley, Nev. until 1972, when they returned to Bishop. Polly then worked for Contel for almost 20 years before retiring.
She loved being in her home, working in her yard and garden, watching her grandchildren grow up and visiting the casino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; parents, George and Frances Brown; sister, Bette Alexis; and brothers, George and Kenneth.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Cindy Cox of Bishop and Barrett and Lisa Cox of Lincoln; grandchildren, Morgan, Amanda, Ryan, Zack, Troy and Tyler; great-grandchild, Korena; sister, Pat Elbers; and many nieces and nephews.
