The Inyo Register asks residents to ‘Believe in your Selfie’

August 25, 2014

Winter is coming! And while The Inyo Register recognizes that there is a veritable avalanche of winter activities in the Eastern Sierra, we also recognize that there are many local activities that require warm weather.
Daylight Savings Time ends Nov. 2, and autumn – or even winter – temperatures are likely to accompany it, so that gives residents a little more than two months to accomplish any summer goals they set for themselves this year.
By way of encouragement, The Inyo Register is asking you to “Believe in Your Selfie” by taking advantage of the cooling temperatures to accomplish those goals – whether they be finally bagging a peak in the backcountry or making the trek all the way to Upper Horton Lake, or to land that trophy trout you’ve been stocking at the Shepherd’s Creek sand trap, or even simply completing that spring cleaning project you started in April.
To participate in Believe in Your Selfie, residents must simply set out to accomplish that summertime goal they set for themselves, and snap a quick selfie along the way, and upon completion, and email it to projects@inyoregister.com.
The Inyo Register will be featuring selfies of residents making the best of the last of the warm weather each Tuesday throughout the month of September.
