Jim Tatum named city administrator

On Monday, Bishop City Council approved the hiring of James “Jim” Jay Tatum as the new city administrator when current administrator, Keith Caldwell, retires on Friday, Aug. 29.
According to the city, Tatum brings more than 20 years of management-level experience, which he will use to “facilitate the realization of the significant potential that exists within the city.” The appointment comes after a lengthy vetting period, which Tatum and several council members addressed at the July 28 Council meeting.
