Early election results are in

A tally of the mail-in ballots received by the Inyo County Elections Department prior to today's election has been finished.
Shortly after the polls closed at 8 p.m., election workers completed an initial count of 1,733 ballots sent in by vote-by-mail voters or those living in mail-in precincts.
Of those ballots, 429 came from District 1. The early count has Dan Totheroh in the lead for Supervisor with 222 votes, followed by David Tanksley with 161 and Bill Stoll with 46.
The Elections Department will continue to update the tally as more ballots are tabulated. Results will be posted at http://www.inyocounty.us/Recorder/Clerk-Recorder.html
