Kathleen ‘Kay’ Otto

Kathleen Otto went home to the Lord on May 18, 2014. Kathleen was born Aug. 10, 1927 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. She lived and worked in Timmins, Canada as a linotype operator until March of 1965 when she and her family moved to Bishop. Kathleen worked for Chalfant Press in Bishop as a linotype operator for a couple of years. Kathleen was the apartment manager for LeAnn and Gene Rassmussen for about 20 years before retiring and moving to Yerington, Nev. in 2004.
Kathleen was a member of the Yerington Community Methodist church where she attended regularly. She was also a member of the Yerington Women’s Club.
Kathleen was proceeded in death by her husband of 44 years, Howard Otto.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Moya (her husband Thomas) of Yerington; and her son, Cyril Worth (his wife Suzanne) of St. George, Utah. She leaves behind four grandsons, Christopher Romero (his wife Pamela), Jason Worth (his wife Beth), Christopher Morarti (his wife Jessica) and Cory Worth. Also eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24 at the East Line Cemetery in Bishop. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the South Lyon Medical Center-Long Term Care, P.O. Box 940 Yerington, Nevada 89447.
