Kevin Russell Crosio
Kevin Russell Crosio, 58, a resident of Bishop for 11 years, born in Malden, Mass. on July 10, 1955, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2014 at Northern Inyo Hospital with family and friends by his side.
Kevin was an avid fisherman and everyone who lived in the Eastern Sierra knew Kevin from his truck with the license plate âFISHMAS.â One time in San Felipe, Baja, Kevin and his sister Debbie caught so many sea bass that the boat almost sank.
He enjoyed softball, bowling and horseshoes. He loved watching all sports especially hockey, baseball and football. He was always the first to get a football pool ready. Kevin was an excellent cook and loved to cook for his family. He had one of the kindest hearts and would do anything for anybody. Kevin worked for Inyo-Mono Title Company and will be greatly missed by all his co-workers.
Survivors include sister, Diane Doherty of New Hampshire; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jerry Core of Bishop; nephew, Tyler Core and his wife Bree; and niece, Julie Core and her fiancĂ©, Tony Tillemans of Bishop; his partner, Merie Thompson of Bishop; and his best friend, Jeff Forland of Denver, Colo. Kevin will also be missed by his cats, Jazzy and Jasper, and his nephewâs dog, Brownie Core.
No funeral services are scheduled, however the First Annual Kevin Crosio Memorial Campout and Horseshoe Tournament will be held the weekend of July 11-13 at the Core cabin Glacier Lodge Road in Big Pine.
