Easter eggstravanzas planned this weekend

This weekend, community members of all ages are invited to gather at their local parks from Bishop to Lone Pine to engage in some eggsellent family fun time.
Traditional Easter egg hunts are planned for Saturday and Sunday, and hosted by a number of local organizations.
Following is a look at those made known to the Register by Monday afternoon.

Saturday, April 19

Brown’s Town
The Salvation Army, Inyo County Probation Community Work Service and City of Bishop are presenting the 13th Annual Bishop Easter Egg Hunt at Brown’s Town.
Gates open at 9 a.m. and the hunt begins at 10. Toddlers and children through age 12 are invited to hunt for eggs, include special prize eggs, as well as enjoy a bounce house and face painting and free hot chocolate (coffee for the adults).

Lone Pine Sports Complex
The Lone Pine Lions Club is sponsoring its annual Easter egg hunt at the Lone Pine Sports Complex beginning at 10 a.m.
There will be fun for all ages along with cash prizes.

SUNDAy, April 20

Mendenhall Park
The Big Pine Civic Club will host its annual Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 20, at Mendenhall Park.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand with additional goodies and prizes. Easter baskets will be provided for those who need them. Bring the family and enjoy the fun.
Mendenhall Park is located at the corner of School Street and Baker Creek Road.
Independence Courthouse
The community of Independence is holding its annual Easter egg hunt beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday on the courthouse lawn. Children ages 10 and younger are invited to hunt for eggs.
Don’t forget the Easter baskets.

Elks Park
The Bishop Elks Lodge is hosting an Easter egg hunt beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Elks Park on West Line Street in Bishop.
There will be lots of Easter eggs with special eggs worth prizes. Free hot dogs and drinks will be served for the kids.
Everyone is welcome.
