Preparing to celebrate two years in business next month, Holy Smoke Texas BBQ in Bishop is about to receive an anniversary gift in the form of national television exposure.
The Cooking Channel is committed to having a crew on location at the local eatery for an upcoming segment showcasing Holy Smoke on one of the cable network‚Äôs programs. Originally, the Cooking Channel had planned to film at the restaurant later this week, but a family emergency on the production team has postponed the shoot. Holy Smoke owners Steve and Patty Hollon said the show will go on, and they will let the community know exactly when after those details have been worked out.
Exactly which Cooking Channel program, and which TV personality will be in attendance, is being kept quiet until the shoot date, but Steve said the show expressed an interest because ‚Äúwe‚Äôre a Christian-based food business. Basically they‚Äôll be talking about our walk with the Lord, how we do that and our food, just the whole thing,‚ÄĚ Hollon said.
