January 29, 2014

Inyo County’s Special Weapons Enforcement Team, a multi-agency equivalent of a SWAT team, ended a manhunt in the Bishop area this morning by taking Allen Harlan Stone, 24, of Bishop, into custody on two felony warrants.
Two other subjects, Emmett James Davis, III, 21, of Bishop and David Martinez, 34, of Bishop, were also taken into custody.
According to Sheriff Bill Lutze, Stone was wanted on felony warrants and had eluded local law enforcement for the past month.
According to Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Carma Roper, deputies have been looking for Stone since Dec. 27, when a resident reported that Stone was brandishing a firearm.
