Juanita Huarte

Juanita Huarte, age 86, a resident of Bishop for 70 years, born in Safford, Ariz. on Sept. 2, 1927 passed away Dec. 21, 2013 at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Juanita was raised by her grandparents on their ranch in Wilcox, Ariz. In her early teens, she moved to Bishop where she met the love of her life, Sam Diego Huarte. They were married and raised their three children in the Bishop area.
She is survived by her children, Leonard Huarte and daughter-in-law, Val Huarte of Bishop, Sam Huarte of Carson City and Margo Kinerson and son-in-law, J.R. Kinerson of Bishop; brother, Jess Paco and wife Judy; sister, June Carrillo and husband Bob of Yuma, Ariz.; grandchildren, Amber Huarte of Bishop, Danelle Tackett of Carson City, Cody Huarte of Carson City and James Sepsey of Bakersfield; in-laws, Mundo Huarte, Frank Pedro, Jeanette and Ed Summers; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Huarte.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 28 at Brune Mortuary Chapel. Stan Summers will officiate. Interment will be at Pioneer Cemetery.
