Last week, county managers met with the Inyo County Board of Supervisors to update the elected officials on achievements and accomplishments over the past year.
The board provided each of its department heads about five minutes âto showcase the scope and breadth of services.â
To kick off the Year in Review for the Board of Supervisors, County Administrative Officer Kevin Carunchio pointed out that, in 2013, three new members joined the Board of Supervisors: Second District Supervisor Jeff Griffiths, Fourth District Supervisor Mark Tillemans and Fifth District Supervisor Matt Kingsley.
Carunchio also noted that the county has seen a turnover of several senior managers, which resulted in new blood leading several departments. Those include District Attorney Tom Hardy, Auditor-Controller Amy Shepherd, County Counsel Margaret Kemp-Williams, Deputy Public Works Director Jim Tatum, Public Works Director Clint Quilter and Senior Deputy County Administrator Pam Hennarty.
âI donât think the county has ever been better situated as far as personnel is concerned,â Carunchio said.
