Nadine M. Stratton
1925-2013

Nadine was born in O’Neil, Neb. on Jan. 14, 1925. She was called home to be with the Lord on Nov. 24, 2013 at the age of 88.
Nadine and her family eventually moved from Nebraska to California where she attended Le Conte Jr. High School in Hollywood and met her future husband, Larry. They dated off and on while attending Hollywood High School. One of Nadine’s most exciting memories about moving to Hollywood was when her dog got away from her while they were walking and John Wayne caught it for her.
Nadine and Larry were married on Sept. 20, 1947 and eventually moved to Burbank where they raised eight children. They bought Cardinal Village Resort in 1969 and lived there until 1985 when they moved to Nevada. Being at Cardinal Village and meeting all the people, many of them becoming good friends, was one of Nadine’s most memorable times of her life.
She loved fishing, traveling, going for walks, and baseball. But most of all, she loved her family and variety of pets she had. Nadine will always be remembered for her warmth, friendliness, strength and kindness she showed toward others. She always had a little smile and wink when spoken to. Nadine will be missed so much by her family and friends.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Larry; and her mom, dad and brother.
She is survived by her eight children, Hal Stratton and wife Linda, Leslie Linson, Jody Stroud, Pat Stratton, Teri Burgess, Jim Stratton, Debbie Jackson and husband Keith and Michael Stratton and wife Chris; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of her life at a future time.
