Lora Merle Seguine

Lora Merle Seguine, born March 26, 1923 in Rigby, Idaho to Charles Herbert and Ethel Burt Berger, passed away peacefully surrounded by her six children on Nov. 21, 2013.
She was raised in Santa Monica. Lora had three children with her first husband, Kathleen Carmical of Aberdeen, Lynn (Don) Neufield of Big Pine and Michael Schumacher of Boise, Idaho. She married Ray Seguine and moved to Bishop in 1959 where they owned and operated the Sportsman’s Motel and the Village Motel. They had three children, Ray (Karye) Seguine, Jr. of Bishop and twins, Chris (Dave) Allen and Carol (John) Fansler of Big Pine.
Lora and Ray moved to Big Pine in 1968. Lora came to know her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at age 60 and followed him all her life. She was a member of Crossroads Church in Bishop and has a loving family there. She worked at the Care Center in Big Pine and in her early years, was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Ambulance Corp. She loved making her cross stitch pictures and blessed many family and friends.
Her family will miss her so much, but also know we will be with her in heaven.
Lora was preceded in death by her husband Ray; her parents; and two granddaughters, Linda and Lora.
She is survived by her six children; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard and his three children, Ricky, Cary and Debbie; and her doggie, Bear.
In lieu of flowers, donations may he made in Lora’s memory the Big Pine Volunteer Fire Department or to ICARE for the new animal shelter.
There will be a private memorial service per her wishes.
