Bishop JV and
Lone Pine fill in
some football blanks
The Bishop Junior Varsity football squad weren’t scheduled to take the field this Friday; Frazier has no JV team. The Lone Pine Golden Eagles won by a forfeit to Lee Vining last weekend and were scheduled for a bye this week. So, the two teams will meet at 4 p.m. this Friday at John Schwab field as part of Bishop’s Homecoming extravaganza.

The Conway Ranch Fish-Out Derby
Low flows at Conway Ranch Hatchery are area anglers’ gain. Rather than lose some beautiful trout to low water flows, Conway is hosting a Fish-Out Derby, with prizes galore, this Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Each registered participant may catch five fish per registration fee. Those that match the Blind Bogey weight are entered into a raffle to win the $2,000 prize. The Biggest Fish winner’s prize is $500, with a drawing to determine the winner in the event of a tie(s). The first 20 participants to register will receive an embroidered ball cap.
Adult registration fee is $100; children up to 16, $50. All fees must be paid in cash. Sponsors include the Conway Ranch Foundation, Inland Aquaculture Group, June Lake Marina and Crowley Lake Fish Camp. The Hatchery is located at 100 Conway Ranch Road in Lee Vining.
For more information, call (760) 709-6446 or visit www.conwayranchfoundation.org for registration forms, event rules, maps and directions.
