Residents weigh in on Inyo’s planning update

Residents in Inyo County have an opportunity this month to help shape the future as the county Planning Department moves forward to update the county’s General Plan and Zoning Code.
The county’s General Plan guides the Board of Supervisors and other local leaders in decisions about land use policies and growth and development within local communities and establishes goals for the county in general.
The Zoning Code outlines acceptable uses for property in various areas of the county, identifying areas appropriate for residential, business or industrial growth, outlining various rules and regulations for different zones identified in the county.
