Sheila A. McClammer
At 81 years of age, Sheila A McClammer passed away peacefully on Dec. 27, 2012 in Newhall. She was born on Sept. 1, 1931 to Ernest and Ethel Lewis in Framingham Mass. Sheila grew up in Pasadena, moving there as a young girl. In 1969 she brought her family to Bishop to raise. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Bishop Nursery and later Copper Kettle. In 1984 she moved to Lancaster to work for Rockwell. After retiring she moved back to Bishop to enjoy retirement.
She loved sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed making quilts, clothes, dolls and costumes for her family and friends. Our mom was a very giving person always putting others before herself. Everyone that met her liked her.
Sheila is survived by her five children, Debbie (Dave) Allred of Dallas, Ore.; Vance (Jennifer) Johnston, of Bishop; Steve Johnston, of Bishop; Julie (Andy) Schubert, of Newhall; and Susie (Mike) Fix of Bishop; grandchildren, Sarah Allred, Jennifer Johnston, Mike Johnston, Chris Taylor, Mike Riggins, Lisa Johnston, Chris Riggins, Andrew Schubert, Kaitlin LaRiccia, Daniel Schubert, Troy Fix, Jason Fix, and Amanda Fix; great-grandchildren, Ethan Ruiz, Olivia Ruiz, Brynna Johnston, Blake Johnston, Wyatt Taylor, Maverick Taylor, Darren Dondero, Levi Williams, Joey LaRiccia.
We will be having a celebration of life on Saturday, Sept. 7 2013. All who are interested in sharing in our memories of our mother, or sharing yours, please gather with us at 173 Sierra Grande St. in Bishop from 2-4 p.m.
