Garrett Isaac Spoonhunter, 69, of Bishop, passed away Aug. 6, 2013 in Reno.
A Cry Dance was held at dusk at Â¾ mile, Hwy. 6, at the Cashbaugh Ranch in Bishop. Memorial Services will be held at11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Charles Brown Auditorium at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop. Burial will follow at East Line St. Cemetery. A potluck will be held at Charles Brown Auditorium following burial.
Garrett was born Nov. 21, 1943, in Ethete, Wyo. and moved to Bishop at the age of 10 with his family.
Garrett is preceded in death by sister, Linda Stone; mother, Angela Andreas; father, Isaac Spoonhunter; and brothers, Alan and Thomas Spoonhunter.
Garrett is survived by wife, Anita Spoonhunter; stepfather, Robert Andreas; daughters, Antoinette Maddox of Bishop, Tania Spoonhunter of Big Pine, and Andrea Spoonhunter of Sacramento.
Garrett is also survived by brothers, Ronold Spoonhunter of Bishop and Lyle Spoonhunter of Bishop; sister, Dorothy Robison of Roberts, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Donations can be made in Garrettâ€™s memory at Bank of America, care of Andrea Spoonhunter. Contributions will go toward travel expenses for several of Garrettâ€™s family members traveling from Wyoming and Idaho.
