MONDAY, AUG. 19, 2013 – An Inyo County jury convicted 39-year-old Bishop resident Joseph Charles Mandiburu of four felony charges last week, including cattle theft from a local ranch.
The charges included grand theft in three separate counts of theft of property, cattle and a vehicle.
Mendiburu was also convicted of felony perjury after the four-day jury trial that concluded Aug. 15.
According to Assistant District Attorney Joel; Samuels, who handled the case for the District Attorney’s Office, the charges stemmed from a theft case involving Flying M Cattle, Inc., a ranch and cattle operation in Round Valley.
