Where ‘food makes friends’ in Big Pine

When technology meets time-tested know-how, a perfect synergy is formed when it comes to starting a new business. One such place has opened on Main Street in Big Pine. Copper Top BBQ has brought good old fashioned Santa Maria-style open pit barbecue into the 21st century.
Barbecue is like a family heirloom to some. The methods and techniques are handed down through generations. To many here in the Eastern Sierra, it is a passion. Hank Otten has the same passion.
Otten and his family moved to Inyo County from Bakersfield a few months ago with the intent to offer the best barbecue food available.
