JUNE 10, 2013 – It is once again time for the annual garden tour designed to inspire, awe and educate participants about the amazing garden diversity that is possible in the arid Eastern Sierra climate.
Garden Tour Adventures 2013, a fundraising extravaganza that benefits the Bishop City Park Arboretum Project, will be held from 9 a.m-1 p.m. this Saturday, June 15.
Tickets, and an accompanying tour map, cost $10 and will be available only at Bishop Nursery, 789 Home St., starting at 8 a.m. this Saturday. (By the way, nursery customers will get 10 percent off of one plant purchase on Saturday, as well.)
Although the tour is returning to its multi-location format after last year’s departure to a single-garden tour, featuring Lyn and Ralph Haber’s extensive Swall Meadows botanical garden preserve, there is a new twist to this year’s fundraising.
