This weekend the Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop will be teaming with family friendly activities for both residents and visitors courtesy Laws Railroad Museum, the Owens Valley Contractors and Vendors Association, the local RC club and more.
Kicking off the weekend’s events will be the Owens Valley Contractors and Vendors Association 18th Annual Home, Garden and Recreation Show, the Taste of the Sierra and the Lone Pine Gem and Mineral Society’s 10th annual Gem and Mineral Show Friday evening.
The Gem and Home shows will continue on Saturday, along with the popular Laws Choo Choo Swap Meet and the Owensville RC Club’s one year anniversary party and barbecue fundraiser, which will be held in the northeast corner of the fairgrounds.
The revamped Home Show, which is being hosted this year by the OVCVA is, according to OVCVA President Dan Stone, going to be bigger, better and more family-friendly than ever.
Friday evening, from 5-10 p.m., residents will have an opportunity to browse the Home Show and the 55-plus booths representing anything from personal beauty care to home and garden improvements.
