Genie Lee Chiatovich

Genie was born in Bishop on Nov. 22, 1952. She passed away March 12 in Reno from cancer.
She is survived by her parents, Gene and Jackie Billingsley; her husband, Wayne Chiatovich; a son, Timmothy Brown; and two granddaughters, Rilee and Mollee Brown. She also had two adopted four-legged boys, Jasper Banner and Yonder Blue. They loved her and she dearly loved them.
Genie loved the outdoors, hiking, looking at old Indian camps and deer hunting with Wayne. One of her pleasures was camping at Hot Creek and teaching her granddaughters about camping. She liked picking pine nuts whenever there were some. She played in many handgame tournaments. Genie had a passion for handcrafting and scrapbooking, especially for the girls. She looked forward to spring every year to pick out and plant new flowers. Being with Rilee and Mollee at Christmas made her so happy.
Genie is going to be missed greatly by her family and friends. There will be no services.
