Muriel H. Heald
Muriel H. Heald of Big Pine passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013. She was born April 19, 1924 in Dixon, S.D. to Joseph and Flora Hudson.
Muriel was a longtime resident of the Owens Valley and loved the outdoors. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, knitting, crocheting, cooking and, above all, bingo.
She was a woman of faith and loved to spend time with her family. She touched the hearts of all those she came in contact with and her legacy will live on in the memories she created.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Heald; and her eldest son, Phillip Heald.
She is survived by her daughters, Vivian and Richard Williams of Big Pine, Teddy Jarvis of Dayton, Nev. and Victoria and Jack McWilliams of Lake Charles, La.; as well as her son, Charles and Sandra Heald of Carson City. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Phillip J. Heald, Karen Byrne, Raymond Heald, Angela Williams, Mindy Mischell, Mark Lockridge, Craig Lockridge, Brad Lockridge, Tonya Heald, Trent Heald, Kenny Heald, Krista Rasmussen, Jerad McWilliams and Jake McWilliams; as well as 27 great-grandchildrem, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous others she loved as though they were her own.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at the First Baptist Church in Big Pine. A celebration of life will follow.
