Police on Tuesday released surveillance photos of two men wanted in connection to last week’s break-in at Holy Smoke Texas Barbecue in Bishop.
According to the Bishop Police Department, the two male subjects are being sought as suspects in the PD’s grand theft investigation stemming from a burglary at the Main Street eatery that occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25.
The men appear to be African American male adults in their early- to mid-20s.
One of the men, seen wearing a black bandana in the surveillance footage recovered by the PD, is described as five feet, six inches tall and heavy set, and may have a beard. In the security footage, the suspect is wearing a blue-hooded sweatshirt with a large, white circle on the back with “California” printed in an arc on the top of the circle and “All Star” printed on the bottom, the PD reported. The same logo in smaller form is also printed on the front left of the sweatshirt.
The second suspect is described as being about six feet, three inches tall, thinly built, with short hair, a mustache and a beard along his chin line. In the footage, he is wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt.
It has not been revealed what was stolen from the restaurant, or how much damage was caused when the suspects pried open the back door of the business and kicked in the office door.
Anyone with information regarding the men shown in the photos is asked to contact Detective Bryan Rossy at (760) 873-5866.
