Reginald ‘Moon’ Dennis Denver



Reginald Dennis Denver was born Dec. 29, 1943 in Schurz, Nev., and passed away Dec. 8, 2012 at the Carson-Tahoe Medical Center in Carson City, Nev. where he was undergoing emergency treatment for dialysis. He was the second of nine children born to Connie Mack and Rosalind Marie Denver of Bishop.

Moon graduated from Bishop Union High School in 1962. After high school he went to Auto and Diesel Trade Technical school in Los Angeles. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge he returned to Bishop where he worked for numerous trucking companies and Union Carbide mine as a diesel mechanic. 

Moon was preceded in death his by father and mother; brothers, Connie Mack, Jr. and George Elmer; and sisters, Nancy, Marilyn and Ava. 

He is survived by sisters, Gwen Marquez and Maureen Cardenas; brother, Tilford; daughters, Regina Caye Rossi, Carla Denver and Emma Denver. 

Our Brother will be missed dearly and he will have a good journey!

Moon enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, playing his guitar, playing piano, hand-games and swapping jokes with his friends. Moon had a remarkable taste in music.

He will be missed by best buddy “Schnookie” Denver.

A memorial service for Reggie will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Barlow Gym on Barlow Lane in Bishop. A potluck will be served at noon, after services.
