Bishop finishes strong in XC

October 26, 2012

Bishop boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Rosamond for a dual meet against their archrival Roadrunners.
The Lady Broncos beat the Roadrunners 21-39, led once again by sophomore Angie Flores.
Rosamond’s boys team beat Bishop 22-39. Freshman Carson Reid was the top Bronco finisher with a second place. Coach Katie Kress was pleased by Reid and fourth-place finisher Ray Eckland’s efforts. In Bishop and Rosamond’s earlier meet, the Roadrunners swept the top five spots.
Bishop should put a scare in High Desert League competition this Wednesday, Oct. 31 in Kern Valley. The Lady Broncos head into league finals in first place; the boys go in second behind Rosamond.
