Bishop City Basketball League Meeting
Bishop will be hosting a 2013 basketball team informational meeting, Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers. Up for discussion will be season dates, practice nights, league fees and any changes the players would like to see in the league. Team registration packets will also be available.

SRHL Needs Coaches
The Sierra Roller Hockey League is looking for coaches for Mites, Bantam and Junior Divisions.

Tourney Fundraiser for Home St. School
Spend “An Evening on the Green” at Bishop Country Club, golf nine holes, eat BBQ and help send the Home Street School eighth-grade class to Washington, D.C.
The four-person scramble, blind bogey tournament is Sunday, Oct. 21 at 4 p.m., with check-in at 3 p.m. The $40 fee for club members ($55 for non-members) includes nine holes, a cart and dinner.
Bishop Saddle Club Horse Show
The Bishop Saddle Club will be holding its final horse show of the season this Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Tri-County Fair-grounds.
Sign-ups start at 8 a.m.; the show starts at 9 a.m. New classes include the Leona Moxley Memorial Costume Class, adult walk/jog classes and reining classes.

Toiyabe Road Run
The 31st annual Toiyabe Road Run is slated for Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Millpond Recreation Center. Registration forms are available at the Toiyabe Indian Health Project clinics in Bishop and Lone Pine, at the Bishop Chamber, Sage to Summit and Wilson’s Eastside Sports or on Toiyabe’s website:
Registration closes Oct. 31.
